New home development in the heart of prestigious North Shore. Started in summer 2017. Some external and foundation of the old structure has been retained for future savings. Then the new foundation has been added to expand living and kitchen areas. The roof has been risen on the north side of the structure and second floor has been added on the south side.
After rough carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC have been finished, closed cell, spray insulation was installed to increase R-value of the new building. Closed cell insulation is a very effective way to install high R-value, at least R-6 per one inch of the insulation, into low dept spaces. This is very important when insulating walls and under roof sheathing. Walls usually have limited space and traditional insulation may not be sufficient. Insulating under roof sheathing protects the building from heat loss during the winter, overheating in summer but also provides vapor barier and prevents condensation. The last feature is very important during very cold, polar vortex, winter periods, so frequent in the area.
After successful drywall installation, time have come for floors and trims. But most importantly, Spring has finally arrived and our Best Brickmasters masonry crew could start the work outside.
Well, masonry project finally came to an end our carpenters are installing Hardie siding.
